API Terms and Acceptable Use

These terms apply to the StoreShot API at api.storeshot.art, the developer console and any API key, in addition to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

API keys

  • Keep your keys secret. You are responsible for all requests made with your keys.
  • Do not embed live keys in mobile apps, websites or other software you distribute.
  • Revoke a key in the console as soon as you suspect it has leaked.
  • One free trial per person; creating accounts to obtain more trial credits is not allowed.

Credits and payments

  • Live requests spend credits as described on the pricing page. Failed generations, and generations canceled before they start, are refunded in credits.
  • Credit packs and plans are sold through our payment provider. Plan credits reset each billing period and do not roll over; purchased credits do not expire while your account exists.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Acceptable use

You may not use the API to:

  • process images you do not own or have permission to use;
  • create misleading, infringing, unlawful, hateful or sexual content;
  • impersonate another app, developer or brand in store listings;
  • probe, overload or work around rate limits, quotas or security measures, or resell raw API access without our written permission.

Rate limits and availability

We apply rate, concurrency and daily limits that depend on your plan, and we may change them to protect the service. The API is provided "as is" without a service-level agreement; we try to announce breaking changes in advance.

Your content

You keep ownership of the images you upload and the images we generate for you. We process them only to provide the service. Test-mode results are deleted 30 days after they finish; you can delete live results at any time. How long we keep each kind of data is described in the data retention policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend keys or accounts that break these terms, put the service at risk or have unpaid or reversed payments. You can stop using the API at any time and revoke your keys in the console. You can delete your account yourself in the console (Account, then Delete account); cancel an active monthly plan first, and settle an overdue plan payment or cancel the plan. Your personal data is then deleted or anonymised at once, remaining credits are forfeited and your content is deleted within 30 days. Billing, credit ledger, usage and trial records are kept without personal data for accounting and reporting, as described in the data retention policy.
