AI agents

Tell your agent to make your store screenshots.

Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any agent that can run curl can drive the StoreShot API. It is plain REST with an OpenAPI document and an llms.txt, so there is nothing to install.

Three steps

  1. Create a key

Sign in to the developer console and create a key. Start with a free ss_test_… key; your first key also brings 4 free credits for live images.

  2. Give it to your agent

Put it in your shell or project environment: export STORESHOT_API_KEY=ss_test_…. Never paste a live key into a chat or commit it.

  3. Paste the prompt

Your agent reads the API description, uploads your screenshots and brings back a fastlane-ready ZIP.

The prompt

Paste it into your agent from your app's repository. Edit the stores, devices or captions to taste.

Prompt
Use the StoreShot API (https://api.storeshot.art/v1) to create my App Store and Google Play screenshots.
My API key is in the STORESHOT_API_KEY environment variable; send it as "Authorization: Bearer $STORESHOT_API_KEY".
Read the API reference first: https://api.storeshot.art/v1/openapi.json (guide: https://storeshot.art/llms.txt).

1. Find my app's raw screenshots (simulator or device captures) and its name and one-line description.
2. Upload each screenshot with POST /uploads (multipart field "file").
3. Create one screenshot set with POST /screenshot-sets for both stores, one short caption per screen,
and an Idempotency-Key. Quote it first with ?dryRun=true and tell me how many credits it costs.
4. Poll GET /screenshot-sets/{id} until it is final, then download
GET /screenshot-sets/{id}/archive?layout=fastlane and unzip it in the project root (fastlane folders).
If my key starts with ss_test_ the images are free samples; tell me when to switch to an ss_live_ key.
