## Mobile apps

The StoreShot apps for iPhone and Android keep their own in-app purchases through the App Store and
Google Play; those credits are separate from API credits.

## Questions

### What is a credit?

One generated image with a live key costs 1 credit. A screenshot set costs one credit per image in the set, and you can quote it first with ?dryRun=true.

### Is there a free trial?

Yes. Your first API key comes with 4 free credits. Test keys (ss_test_…) are always free: they return sample images of exactly the requested size, so you can build your integration without spending credits.

### What happens if a generation fails?

The credit is refunded automatically when a generation fails or is canceled before it starts.

### Do credits expire?

Purchased credit packs never expire. Monthly plan credits are reset at each renewal and do not roll over. Generations use plan credits first, then trial credits, then purchased credits.

### Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, from the billing page of the developer console or with the billing endpoints of the API. One plan per account; you can also buy credit packs while subscribed.

### Do the mobile apps use the same credits?

No. In the iOS and Android apps you buy credits with in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play. API credits are bought in the developer console.
